The village has a small general store and café and church and the riverside town of Vila Nova de Cerveira is 6km. further down the hill, with Valença 12km. in the other direction. The nearest coastal beach is a further 20mins. away and Ponte de Lima golf course and equestrian centre is 20 minutes away.
